CARVTerms of Use
These terms cover the CARV app (iOS, Android and web) and this website (the "service"), operated by the developer of CARV. By using the service you agree to these terms.
License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. Don't resell it, use it to break the law, get around its security, or overload it, for example by calling AI features in bulk with automated tools.
Price and subscriptions
The basic features are free. Premium is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renews automatically unless you cancel before the current period ends. Cancellations and refunds follow each store's policies, and you manage them in your device's store subscriptions. Prices are shown in the store. Credits used for AI cards can only be used in the app and cannot be exchanged for money.
Your data
Without an account, your cards and history stay on your device. With an account, they are stored on our servers to sync between devices. We recommend exporting a backup from Settings from time to time. Personal data is handled as described in the privacy policy.
Accounts and your content
You own the cards you create and are responsible for your account and sign-in method. Don't create or upload content that infringes others' rights or breaks the law.
Rights in videos and images you capture to make cards, and in the lines they contain, belong to their owners; use such cards for your own study only. Decks from Hub are for personal study and may not be redistributed.
AI-generated cards
Translations, readings and explanations written by AI can be wrong. They are a study aid, not something to rely on as-is for exams or professional decisions. You can edit any card.
Third-party services and trademarks
The service relies on third parties such as Apple, Google, OpenAI and Supabase, whose own terms apply. Works, products and trademarks mentioned in the service belong to their owners, and the developer is not affiliated with them.
Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is", without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or incidental damages or loss of data from using the service. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
Changes and termination
If these terms change, we will post the new version with its effective date in the app or on this page. We may restrict use by anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account.
