- To: dev.shellednuts@gmail.com
- Subject: Delete Account - CARV
- From: the email address registered to your CARV account
We verify the request and complete deletion within 7 business days, then confirm by reply.
Data that is deleted
Deleted permanently and immediately, with no retention period:
- Account and authentication record (email, sign-in method)
- Profile (display name, level, streak, study totals)
- All flashcards and tags stored in the cloud
- All review history and review event archives
- Daily statistics and level distribution history
- Subscription records and AI credit transaction history
- Hub deck download history
Data held only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
Data that is retained, and for how long
| Data | Why | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymized analytics and crash logs (Firebase) | Cannot be linked back to you once the account is gone; retained by Google and deleted automatically | Up to 14 months (analytics) / 90 days (crash logs) |
| Payment and transaction records | Held by Apple and Google as the payment processors, not on CARV servers; required by commerce law | Per Apple/Google policy and applicable law (typically 5 years) |
| Server access and security logs | Kept briefly for abuse prevention and incident investigation | Up to 90 days |
None of the retained items can be used to identify you or restore your account. They are deleted automatically when the retention period ends.
Before you delete
Deletion cannot be undone. Export your cards first from Settings → Export backup. Subscriptions are separate from your account: cancel them in App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
